In 2014, Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day is taking
place on Friday 12th December. Now running since 2011, the charity is asking
even more people across the UK to help “make the world better with a sweater”.
George in Asda is the official retail partner for Save the
Children’s Christmas Jumper Day and the partnership is aiming to raise money of
over £750,000! A range of “Save the Children” Christmas jumpers for men, women
and children are now on sale, with prices ranging from £7 to £14. The jumpers
are raising funds for Save the Children’s vital work in the UK and are
available to buy in Asda stores nationwide and online at George.com.
There will also be fundraising in Asda stores across the UK,
starting with bucket collections on Friday 5th December, helping to give thousands
of the UK’s most disadvantaged children a good start in life and chance to fulfil
their potential.
When is our Christmas Jumper Day?
We are asking staff and students to “make the world better with a
sweater” by wearing a Christmas jumper for the day and donating £1 to the
school’s four main charities.
Christmas Jumper Day 2014 is on Friday 12th December.
Who can take part?
Everyone! We want to spread the jumper joy to offices, schools and
homes around the country. So get your workplace, school, friends and family
involved, and help us raise money as much as they can to help transform children’s
lives.
